Et si la rue pouvait se vêtir // What if the street could dress up?

I do not know if it is the summer effect on me -yeh, you can laugh I know I live in Northern Ireland but I swear today is sunny and so were the last two weeks!- but I really want to go out, somewhere else explore, discover. When I am out of the house, and especially in a new city, I always keep my eyes peeled looking for something different. When this desire is not satisfied, I look online to do so.

Today, I want to draw your attention to a NeSpoon, a Polish artist based in Warsaw. 

She is using the traditional form of the lace pattern to cover up the streets of the cities she visits.

In order to do so she uses in her work different aspects of visual art such as: painting, ceramics, stencil and crochet. 

What I really like about her work is also that she adapts herself to the place she wants to create on and then thinks of how to do things properly without changing/ adapting/ destroying the place.

Je ne sais pas si c’est l’effet du soleil sur moi -oui, je vous vois déjà vous moquez, je sais que je vis en Irlande du Nord mais je vous assure qu’aujourd’hui tout comme ces deux dernières semaines, il fait beau- mais j’ai vraiment envie d’aller dehors, ailleurs, d’explorer, de découvrir.

Quand je sors de la maison et surtout quand je suis dans une nouvelle ville, j’ouvre bien grand les yeux cherchant du regard quelque chose de nouveau. Mais lorsque ce désir n’est pas satisfait, je me dirige vers Internet.

Aujourd’hui je veux vous parler de NeSpoon, une artiste polonaise basée à Varsovie.

Elle utilise la forme traditionnelle de la dentelle pour recouvrir les rues des villes qu’elle visite.

Pour se faire, elle utilise dans son travail différents aspects de l’art visuel comme la peinture, la céramique, le pochoir ou le crochet.

Ce que j’aime particulièrement dans son travail c’est qu”elle s’adapte au lieu sur lequel elle envisage de créer et ensuite réfléchit à la façon dont le faire proprement sans détériorer/ adapter/ changer l’espace de création.
